Aaron Evans – Sink Or Swim
“Sink or Swim” is a nautical metaphor reflecting on my relocation from Columbus, Ohio to San Diego, California. Rebuilding in a new city where I knew next to know-body unpon arrival has proved to be quite a test of faith, but I’ve never been one to give up. EVER. This song would be that declaration in audible form.
Speaking of concepts and extended metaphors, Aaron Evans continues to show his spoken word background, which lends itself to fully-fleshed concepts that might could impress an English professor. Even the beat has this island, reggae vibe to it to go along with the nautical theme (I could swear I heard something very similar to this sample in one of the Sonic games, probably on a tropical-themed stage).
Aaron Evans has delayed his F.A.M. (Family Always Matters) solo debut until next year. This is just a bonus single to hold us over until then.
